New Hampshire first became NewtHampshire in 1995 when, as the new Speaker of the House, Newt came up to our state for a multi-day moose watch. Hundreds of media followed Newt, already eyed as a future presidential candidate, on the trail.

Now – after four straight balanced budgets, business success, and a dozen more bestselling history and policy books – Newt is back. And we’ve got Newt’s back!

The NewtHampshire team and Newt’s solutions for America are crisp as the hillwinds and solid as granite. NewtHampshire is the site that wins the January 10 New Hampshire primary and November 6 general election.

Wow! Richard! That letter is AWESOME! You need to call in to radio shows like Mark Levin & Rush Limbaugh & Sean Hannity… AND send in that letter to The National Review (I’ve cancelled my subscription b/c of their attacks on Newt)….they ALL are RAILING against Newt! They’re missing the mark when they falsely accuse him & Perry for “picking a fight against capitalism,” The JUST fight they’re pickin’ is against the lack of morality in Romney’s business decisions, something that DEFINATELY needs to be scrutinized. They say, “Newt was guilty of the same kinda stuff with Freddie!” That’s “baloney!” Newt wasn’t the CEO of Freddie!

Thanks Richard, hope they print it. We need to expose Romney for who he really is.

I sent the following to the Union Leader (and other papers):

Dear editor,

Some conservative groups are saying Romney’s brand of capitalism
should not be criticized by conservatives, that the normal process of
business creation includes the destruction of failing companies. But
Romney went far beyond that. His company engineered selective
corporate failures by leveraging corporate assets to borrow large
amounts and using that money to award themselves huge management
consulting fees and to repay investors. Having bought control of the
companies, Bain mangers were able to vote themselves unearned fees as
they stripped the companies clean and forced them into bankruptcy.
It’s one thing to close a business because it can’t compete against
more efficient competitors. But to force it into bankruptcy because
you’ve removed the cash is not capitalism, it’s looting.

Of the top ten companies which Bain acquired during Romney’s tenure
as CEO, four declared bankruptcy within a short time, spelling the
loss of thousands of jobs. Yet, Bain investors profited in three of
the four that ended in bankruptcy.

Capitalists sometimes have to fire someone, but to take the reserves
of the company, stripping the workers of their jobs, their insurance,
their severance, and their pension benefits, is not any kind of
capitalism that conservatives should be defending.

@Mike Perhaps this will bring you a sigh of relief: http://conservativebyte.com/2012/01/newt-to-rally-with-democrat-in-sc/

sorry i missed you in plymouth. would like to have asked you to combine efforts with the other republican, independant, tea party and yes, even democratic candidates. i think this country wants to see cohesion in washington more than anything. i don’t think many of us believe anything will get worked out with the standing division in our nation today. you’re the right guy for sure, but you need a great team behind you. suggestion: start assembling a team that the people will vote for and run that ticket. we’re tired of voting for a single person and party.

Dick Morris, Donald Trump just said on FOX, “Mitt’s easily gonna win in New Hampshire..” uuuuggghhhhh…… Dick also said that—in the end—-Romney’s gonna beat Newt. Why do they give the establishment so much air time??? I am THRILLED that Sarah Palin endorsed Newt through her husband (hee-hee…) perfect timing! Wish the Donald would do the same, though. I know he’s rootin’ for Newt too!

Laura, you made the right decision. Welcome aboard.

That is GREAT news. Sooo many people I know have dismissed New Hamphsire, saying, “Romney’s DEFINATELY going to win NH.” Maybe he will… but, perhaps it’ll be so close that they’ll have to do what they’re doing right now in Iowa: RECOUNT. (PRAYING!!!)

Great speech, meet-and-greet by Newt at Nashua Rotary this afternoon. Must have been more than twenty press cameras, and at least as many more taking notes by hand. His bus was delayed, but nobody left ahead of time.

I was really undecided and was waiting for a candidate to really stick out for me. My husband and I are going to try and make it to the draft to shake Mr. Gingrich’s hand. :)

Laura ~ Wow… thank you for sharing your thoughts and the run-in that your parents had with Mr. Gingrich at Church. That is just wonderful! I LOVE how Newt took on the mainstream media (uh… his moderators)! Wondering? Who was your vote going to go to??

I was an undecided voter until Saturday. 2 things made up my mind. 1. the debate. Especially the comment about how its time to start talking about how Catholics are discriminated against. We are so worried about offending minorities, the people who are being offended and silenced under the Obama administration are the Christians. That really resonated with me. 2. 4 hours before the debate my parents ran into Newt at their church. For all these candidates, I’m sure no one is sleeping very well, I find it very admirable to take time out of one of the most hectic days to attend church. But without press, cameras, not a “scheduled” stop. I personally still differ on some issues, however my vote tomorrow will go to Gingrich. We need someone who will stop talking and worrying about his hair and makeup and start working in Washington. Thanks Newt! PS I love the “Romney Newtered” comment!

Georgia – sometimes it’s helpful if we think of the early primaries as not identifying a ‘winner’ but slicing losers off the bottom of the candidate list for the next few primaries. There is real value in that, right? After all, it was only Iowa, and it’s only an early primary. What’s puzzling to me is why the MSM makes such a circus out of it.

Georgetta, like your comments. I spoke with Newt 2 nights ago and will see him again tonight. I’m sure he’ll be coming your way soon. It’s ironic how Romney and McCain were going at each other 4 years ago and now best of buds.
Georgetta Kmullenshotski commented 2012-01-06 15:58:32 -0500 · Flag
Question? Why on earth does the Republican Party deem Mitt Romney to be the BEST? Last time around, they deemed him 2nd best? What has he done differently to bring him to 1st place? Is it just because McCain isn’t running? I’d like to hear Mitt prove how he’s better than he was in ‘08… As far as I’m concerned, I think the Republican Party needs a good “Roto Rooting” and Newt is JUST the guy to do it! Go Newt!!!
(wish I lived in NewtHampshire! God Bless all of you who are doing the grassroots work up north!!)
